How It Works
What happens when you get in touch
A clear, practical process from first enquiry to assessment, advice and follow-up.
Introduction
The first step is to contact Anna’s Speech and Language Therapy Services with a brief outline of your concerns or requirements.
The process begins with terms and conditions, a case history questionnaire and then an appointment arranged by Joanne.
Step 1: Contact The Practice
You can phone 07747 604939 or email office@annaspeechandlanguage.co.uk.
For schools, nurseries or staff training, include a short description of what support you are looking for.
Step 2: Complete The Initial Paperwork
Before the first appointment, terms and conditions are provided and confirmed as part of the onboarding process. Families are also asked to complete a case history questionnaire.
The case history helps Anna understand background information, communication concerns, medical or education context and who else may be involved.
Step 3: Initial Assessment
Anna works to provide a thorough and accurate initial assessment. This includes a full case history and tailored advice.
For children, assessment may be play-based and observational, helping Anna understand communication in a natural way. Home visits can be useful because they show communication in a familiar setting.
Step 4: Advice Or Therapy
After assessment, Anna will advise on the next steps. Support may include direct therapy, indirect advice, parent coaching, school or nursery liaison, or staff training.
Some families may choose weekly therapy for a short period, while others may check in less often. Follow-up depends on what works best for the child and family.
Step 5: Follow-Up And Support
Reports or written summaries may be available where appropriate. Please ask about current options when you get in touch.
Online booking is not enabled until further notice.
Call To Action
If you are ready to ask about support, contact Anna and Joanne with your main concern, your child’s age if relevant, and whether you are looking for family, school or adult support.
