Ask a question
What is speech and language therapy?

Speech and language therapy supports children and adults to communicate more effectively. This may include speech sounds, understanding language, using words and sentences, or non-verbal strategies to connect.

Therapy is tailored to each person.

Do you visit us at home?

Yes. Home visits are available for families, including children and adults. Home visits allow Anna to see communication in a natural, familiar setting.

Adult clients who prefer a clinic setting may also be offered clinic sessions.

Do you work with nurseries or schools?

Yes. With permission, Anna can liaise with nursery staff and schools so that support for the child is joined up.

How much do you charge?

Please get in touch for current pricing.

Do you write reports?

Reports and written summaries may be available where appropriate. Please ask about current options when you get in touch.

Will I get notes after the appointment?

Written notes are not included in the session fee. Families are welcome to video record personalised advice during the session.

If a written summary is preferred, please ask what is currently available.

How long is a face-to-face appointment?

Each session lasts 45 minutes. For children, this time may include assessment and engagement through play.

What happens next?

Next steps depend on what works best for the child and family. Some families choose weekly therapy for 4 to 6 weeks, while others check in every few months.

Families are responsible for keeping in touch and arranging follow-up if needed, as set out in the terms and conditions.

Can I use private therapy alongside National Health Service (NHS) support?

Yes. Independent speech and language therapy can complement NHS input, while NHS support should remain a priority.

Families are welcome to return to Anna after NHS sessions are complete or if their child is discharged.

Are there additional travel fees?

Anna's Speech and Language Therapy Services is based in Northampton. Please get in touch to discuss whether a home visit is possible for your location.

How do I book an appointment?

After you get in touch, terms and conditions are provided and confirmed as part of the onboarding process. Joanne then contacts you to schedule the appointment.

Before the first session, you will also need to complete and return a case history questionnaire.

Online booking is not enabled until further notice.

Do you offer ongoing support between sessions?

There is a private WhatsApp group for families after an initial appointment and payment. The group offers resources, parent support and input from the therapy team.

Do you really just play?

For children, play is often central to therapy. Anna follows the child's lead, uses engaging toys and shows parents strategies in a way that feels natural and enjoyable.

The aim is to make communication practice part of everyday moments.
